Om & Yum is a unique yoga class for children that blends mindful movement with playful food exploration. Through yoga, breathwork, and fun, accessible asana, kids will build body awareness, balance, and self-regulation skills. In the Yum portion of class, children will explore a variety of foods through texture play, scent, color, and hands-on activities—without any expectation to eat. This sensory-based exposure helps build curiosity and comfort around new foods and supports a positive relationship with eating. Research shows that repeated exposure to foods without pressure—such as through play or observation—can significantly improve children’s willingness to try and eventually enjoy new foods (e.g., Coulthard & Sealy, 2017; Cooke, 2007). Om & Yum offers a nurturing, no-pressure environment where kids can move, breathe, and playfully explore the world of food with all their senses.
